Lenovo updates their Legion Gaming Laptops at CES 2022

A new year means new upgrades for Lenovo’s Legion Laptops!

Lenovo isn’t doing anything grand for their gaming laptop line-up this 2022. While we are not getting any major new Legion devices, we are getting some great updates to their internals. These include the Legion 5 series, for both Intel and AMD sides.

Lenovo Legion 2022

Let’s take a look at the Legion 5 line. These include the Legion 5i Pro, Legion 5 Pro, Legion 5i, and Legion 5. For the Intel side, we have up to 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H processors, these are for the 5i Pro and 5i. While for the 5 and 5 Pro we have up to AMD’s latest Ryzen 9 6900HX. As for graphics you’re getting up to Nvidia’s RTX 3070 Ti for all four. The Pro models get to enjoy the new trend for laptop displays this year, that is adaptive refresh rates. Basically, the refresh rate of your monitor automatically adjusts to the current content you are viewing.

As for display specs, we can get up to a 16″ WQHD+ 240Hz, 3ms panel. Sadly, the 5 and 5i don’t have that adaptive refresh rate though they still feature up to a 15″ WQHD 165Hz, 3ms display. Then for RAM and storage, you’re getting up to 32GB of DDR5 and up to 1TB of SSD on all models. Pricing and availability are as follows:

  • Lenovo Legion 5i Pro – expected to be available in February 2022 starting at $1,569.99 (~Php 80,210)
