Dell’s budget G-line gets new members!

Back in Computex 2019, Dell introduced their updated G3 15 budget gaming laptop. Today, that very unit along with its brethren the G5 and G7 entered the Philippine market. Not only that, but they are also accompanied by the first-ever G-series desktop, the G5.

We’ve all but covered the specs of the G3 back in our Computex coverage. So now, let’s focus on the G5 and G7. The G5 this year comes in two colors — a Deep Space Black with blue accents and a special edition Alphine White. Both are stunning and beautiful thanks to the well-blended color schemes and added accents. This machine can be equipped with up to a 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor paired with up to an Nvidia RTX 2060. We’re getting just one display option, which is a 15.6″ FHD 60Hz IPS panel. Sadly, no high refresh rate or fast response time here. Then we can get up to 16GB of RAM and dual storage options (SSD + HDD). The G3 starts at Php 46,990 while the G5 starts at Php 68,990. These two are now available for purchase at official Dell retail and concept stores.

The G7, on the other hand, is one slick thin and light machine. This one only has a single color option, which is Abyss Grey. Despite that though, it still looks sexy and sophisticated. The G7 is equipped with a 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and either an RTX 2060 or 2070 GPU. Then we now have better display options — 144Hz or 240Hz 15.6″ FHD IPS panels. We only get a single RAM configuration, that’s 16GB then single (512GB SSD) or dual storage (256GB SSD + 1TB HDD) options. The price tag is a bit steep though starting at Php 113,990 but it’s one of the more affordable thin and lights out there. The G7 like the rest of the G-series line is now available for purchase at official Dell retailers and concept stores.

G5 (Desktop on the Left)

Finally, we have a new member of the G-series family the desktop G5. A first for Dell in this price point or budget series. The desktop can be equipped with up to a 9th Gen Intel Core i9K processor paired with up to an Nvidia RTX 2070 GPU. Then we have a maximum RAM capacity of 16GB and either a 1TB HDD or SSD. The G5 desktop starts at Php 57,990 and will be available come end of November.
