Earth’s mightiest heroes have arrived, and this time, they’ve got their own video game. Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal, and Square Enix have teamed up to produce Marvel’s Avengers, an RPG set in the Marvel Universe. After teasing this game a couple of days before, Square has finally unveiled it at E3 2019.
Marvel’s Avengers kicks off in San Fransisco, as the team sets up its new west-coast HQ. However, things quickly turn south as the city gets attacked by a mysterious group of terrorists. With this, you now get to fill the shoes of the main Avengers characters, along with up to three of your friends in co-op mode. Additionally, the devs have promised players that this game will not be pay to win and does without loot boxes.
The game will also include free updates which will add new heroes and villains to the fray. Cap, Tony, Thor, and the rest of the squad will arrive on May 15, 2020, for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
