Some new tidbits for the new Fire Emblem!

We finally have new information about Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The game was announced back in E3 2018, with relatively only small snippets of gameplay and no background info at all. This time around we’re getting a lot more.

The Three Houses!

First up, we’re finally introduced to the Three Houses in the game, namely the Black Eagles, Blue Lions, and Golden Deer. The players’ will be choosing one of these houses to well, teach. Yup, we’re getting a bit of a change of pace in story and core mechanics. In previous titles, the focus was mainly on an ongoing or about to begin war between kingdoms or whatnot. This time around, the protagonist is a teacher of a military academy catering to the Three Houses.

We are now called, Professor!

It’s quite a big change actually, as it feels like you’ll be playing a teaching simulator, Fire Emblem style. In any case, it’s still Fire Emblem at its core, except there will be a bit more character customization in the form of the classes the players teach. As well as a bit more flexibility in the abilities and capabilities of your units.

Classmates!

The support system makes a comeback as the students are able to bond with each other. Basically, the deeper the bond among students the better they fight on the battlefield together.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses releases on July 26. There will also be a Seasons of Warfare Edition which includes an artbook, sound selection CD, steelbook, and calendar.
