Fresh off the most recent Nintendo Direct is the announcement of more old-school titles coming to the Switch. The latest consoles to join the NES, SNES, and N64 in the Switch’s Online perks are the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance.

Nintendo is splitting the access to the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games. Standard members of the Nintendo Switch Online subscription gains access to the Game Boy games. On the other hand, those interested in playing Game Boy Advance titles will need a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.

Here is the first wave of games coming to Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy:

  • Tetris
  • Super Mario Land 2 – 6 Golden Coins
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX
  • Gargoyle’s Quest
  • Game & Watch Gallery 3
  • Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare
  • Metroid II – Return of Samus
  • Wario Land 3
  • Kirby’s Dream Land
The Switch now has Game Boy games!

Meanwhile here is the first wave of games for the Game Boy Advance:

  • super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
  • WarioWare, Inc: Mega Microgame$
  • Kuru Kuru Kururin
  • Mario Kart: Super Circuit
  • Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

    Of course, more titles will release in the future for both online consoles. As an added bonus, you can choose between the classic Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, or Game Boy Color screens for the Game Boy. There’s also support for local or online play for games with multiplayer on both consoles with up to 4 players for the Game Boy Advance. You can now play these games on the Nintendo Switch starting today.
