Just in time for Halloween, Cool Mini or Not suddenly opens the Kickstarter campaign of Cthulhu: Death May Die – Fear of the Unknown. Boy is that a mouthful, anyway the project was fully funded in under 20 mins. It’s still raking in pledges, as of writing it has amassed $715,224, more than triple its pledge goal.
Fear of the Unknown is a standalone season of CMoN’s famous Cthulhu: Death May Die. It features 6 new episodes, 2 new Elder boxes, and new modular rules for the 1-5 player board game. Choose an elder and an episode box and mash them together for a personalized experience. The overarching theme in each playthrough is that investigators, the players, are to stop a ritual by cultists to summon an Elder One.
Interestingly, there is only one Pledge level for this and that is at $100 or more. The more being if you want to support CMoN even further. However, $100 is enough to get all of the Kickstarter content. The game will ship out next year in December 2023 and is open to international deliveries.
