Cool Mini or Not (CMON), a famous board game development company, is now working on the very first Assassin’s Creed Tabletop RPG. The announcement comes right in the thick of the 15th anniversary of the Ubisoft video game series.
The game will be under CMON’s publishing imprint, Guillotine Press. It will still be centered around the Animus and the search for the Pieces of Eden as the Creed fight against the Templars. Players will take on the role of Descendants, modern-day characters whose ancestors were famous Brotherhood assassins. However, they will also create and take control of these said Ancestors.
One for each of the time periods they’ll do missions in. It seems there will be a sort of DM (Dungeon Master) who will guide players known as the Animus Operator. CMON is promising a wealth of lore and history for video game fans as well as tabletop enthusiasts. There are also plans for game supplements. Such as miniatures, maps, and books. The game is set to open pre-orders in 2023.
