Riot Games with a bomb today as they announce for the first time ever that they will now handle the publishing of League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics in South East Asia.

This announcement ends a 12-year partnership between Garena and Riot that started way back in 2011. This will also be the first time since League of Legends’ release that it will be out of the hands of Garena in this region. Players are to migrate their Garena accounts to Riot to access both games come January 6, 2023.

As a welcoming gift, Riot will be handing out a suite of in-game rewards. To ensure a smooth transition, migration will open on November 18, 2022. If you wish to know more about the specific details of the migration head on over here. For the full list of FAQs, you can check out this article from Riot.
