Grand Theft Auto fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Rockstar Games has announced that they will release the classic versions of GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas including updates to GTA Definitive Edition.

These games will be available for purchase on the Rockstar Launcher, as a bundle, until June 30, 2022. Moreover, those who have already purchased Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition will receive these games for free. Finally, Rockstar has also announced that multiple updates and patches are on the way for the Definitive Edition.

This move from Rockstar follows the disastrous release of GTA Definitive Edition a week ago. Fans have rated the game 0.5 out of 10 on Metacritic, with critics following suit. Players have also been clamoring for Rockstar to release the original games out of frustration. By caving into this request, perhaps this might be Rockstar’s first step to redeem its reputation.
