Age of Empires IV goes back into the middle ages telling the grand tales of that era. The game has 4 campaigns as of launch:

  • The Normans – a story of the Normal conguest of England.
  • The Hundred Years War – the century-long war between England and France
  • The Rise of Moscow – the rise of the Grand Duchy of Moscow
  • The Mongol Empire – the expansion of what will be known as the largest empire of all time

Most of the gameplay mechanics from Age of Empires II make a retrun here. So veterans of the second installment will feel right at home. For now there’s 8 available civilizations: the English, the Chinese, the Mongols, the Delhi Sultanate, the French, the Abbassid Dynasty, the Holy Roman Empire, and the Rus.
