God of War (2018) Heads to PC Early 2022

After living most of its life, and awards, on the PlayStation ecosystem, God of War is finally ready for PC!

In stunning and out of the blue fashion, Santa Monica Studio announced the transition of God of War (2018) from the PlayStation world to the PC universe. The award-winning and 2018 Game of the Year awardee will arrive on bigger screens early 2022.

The PC Master Race won’t have to wait long after this announcement though, as God of War will arrive in their space January 14th, 2022. As a quick recap, the latest installment brings the now aged Kratos to the Norse Realm. This time the famed god is no longer alone and is with his son, Boy, err, Atreus. As he ventures in the world of Odin and the Norse Gods, he must also teach his son how to fight and survive.

With this transition players get to enjoy a wide array of settings to fine-tune their visual experience. Of course, this comes with full Nvidia DLSS and RTX support, so get ready for those beautiful sceneries and reflections. Controller support is included too for the DualShock 4 and the new DualSense as well as keyboard mapping customizations. As an added bonus, the PC version will also include the following:

  • Death’s Vow Armor Sets for Kratos and Atreus
  • Exile’s Guardian Shield Skin
  • Buckler of the Forge Shield Skin
  • Shining Elven Soul Shield Skin
  • Dökkenshieldr Shield Skin

Santa Monica also promises more reveals in the coming months leading up to release. PC will finally have the “Boy” experience we’ve enjoyed so much on the PlayStation.
