Now it’s Redmi’s turn to enter the gaming laptop market with the Redmi G!
Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, better known for their bang-for-the-buck smartphones has entered the Gaming Laptop market. Thanks to their introduction of the Redmi G Gaming Laptop.
The Redmi G will be the brand’s first competitor targeting the budget segment. On the CPU side, we got Intel’s 10th Generation mobile processors, from the i5-10200H up to the i7-10750H. Handling the graphics side is Nvidia’s GTX 1650 and 1650 Ti. We’re getting a non-conventional 16.1″ Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with either a 60Hz or 144Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB. For storage, we have a 512GB SSD while RAM is at 16GB. As for I/O, we’re getting two USB 3.2 ports, one USB 2.0 port, a USB Type-C, mini-DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 output, Ethernet, and a 3.5mm port.
The laptop will go on sale starting August 18th in China, with the following variants:
- Intel Core i5-10200H, Nvidia GTX 1650, 60Hz refresh rate display @ CNY 4,999 (~ Php 35,038, $719)
- Intel Core i5-10300H, NVidia GTX 1650 Ti, 144Hz refresh rate display @ CNY 5,799 (~ Php 40,645, $834)
- Intel Core i7-10750H, Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti, 144Hz refresh rate display @ CNY 6,599 (~ Php 46,252, $949)
