The Dell G5 receives the “Red” treatment!

As AMD unveils their next-generation mobile CPUs, brands steadily reveal which of their offerings will receive the newly minted chips. For Dell, that’s the G5 15 SE (Special Edition). Not only is it getting Ryzen 4000-series CPUs, the GPU-side will also be handled by AMD’s Radeon.

Apart from getting the new generation Ryzen CPUs, the Special Edition G5 will come packed with AMD’s Radeon RX 5600M GPUs. Since its running AMD on both sides, the laptop will support SmartShift. The company’s dynamic power shifting technology that alternates load between the Ryzen CPU and Radeon GPU for optimal performance.

As for the rest of the specs, we’re getting a 15.6″ FHD panel, with options for a 144Hz FreeSync-compatible version, and single or dual-drive options of up to a 1TB M.2 SSD and a 2TB 5400rpm HDD. Another optional feature to grab is a WASD 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard, with Alienware Command Center support.
