Death Stranding finally gets a release date

The release date for Death Stranding is finally revealed, along with more questions about the game…

Update (May 30, 2019): Included official Philippine pricing for Standard and Special Edition

Despite Sony being absent in E3 this year, they have not failed to keep the hype going for its big exclusive titles. Ahead of the biggest gaming convention, Sony has released an 8-minute trailer of Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, where they also revealed the release date.

The trailer provides a peek into the story and gameplay of Death Stranding. Ranging from gadgets that the protagonist Sam can use to transverse the open world, to an enemy faction that looks to play a big role in the narrative.

Other than human enemies, the world will experience supernatural phenomenon. Beached Things or “BT” are one of the main enemies that you will face in this world.

There will be no Game Over Screen here. When you die, you undergo what is dubbed “Death Stranding” where you seem to go to the other side, reliving a somewhat supernatural occurrence of a war.

In true Hideo Kojima fashion, more questions arise from this 8-minute trailer. Giving a hype for players to get their questions answered (or not). Fear not, for you will be able to play the game this year to satisfy your curiosity. Death Stranding releases on November 8, 2019. Just less than 6 months away.
