The mobile Battle Royale scene will become a lot more crowded with the addition of Apex Legends!
It looks like EA’s hit Battle Royale title, Apex Legends, might be joining the likes of PUBG and Rules of Survival on mobile as it heads to the platform sometime in the near future. The company hinted, once again, on an Apex Legends Mobile release along with their Q4 fiscal year report. There were already previous reports of this possible release a few months back though, such as the one from Android Authority.
Apex Legends took the world by a storm during its release last February, hauling in millions of players after only a week. The game pits 60-players, in teams of three, against each other on a remote island, traditional Battle Royale style. Although, we do get a little more than that. That’s because the game also introduces more flexible movement as well as a class-based system.
Yep, we have characters with unique skill sets, so it’s not just a straight up shooting brawl. EA has yet to reveal any confirmation about this mobile transition though, and the platforms it will be available on (Android, iOS, or possibly even the Switch). We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for further announcements and a possible release date. So, stay tuned for that.
