The new Stardew Valley map, Four Corners, is definitely a much-needed addition!

Last week we reported that ConcernedApe is hard at work with Stardew Valley 1.4. Just a few days ago he dropped yet another major sneak peek at this upcoming update. This time around, the lone developer introduced a new Stardew Valley Map — Four Corners.

Four Corners is not just a newly minted map, it will also bring a much requested feature to the game — separate money in multiplayer. Yep, folks, we can finally individually earn money. So, here’s how it will work:

  • Players can set the option at the start of a new game.
  • Players can separate or re-join the money pool at any time by speaking to the mayor.
  • Existing multiplayer farms still have the option of separating the funds, which will be distributed evenly among the players.
Bananas!

Now, other aspects of the game that were shared (mushroom cave, community center, etc.) will remain shared. Only money management will be separate. For those of you wondering, yes the map will still be available for single players, if they wish to try the new farm format.

As always, the update will roll out to PC first before moving on to other platforms. ConcernedApe has yet to reveal any tentative release date for the 1.4 update. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled for his future announcements.
