Consoles News Nintendo Switch PS4 RPG Video Game

It doesn’t look like a Persona 5 port to the Switch, though.

Greetings Persona fans! In day 2 of the Persona Superlive concert, Atlus officially announced another Persona 5 spinoff — Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers (P5S). Atlus and Koei Tecmo have teamed up to produce a horde fighting game based on Persona 5.

From the trailers, it looks like Persona 5: Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will still put players in the shoes of Joker. However, instead of the traditional turn-based combat system that the franchise uses, players will take on a horde of shadows in musou fashion.

The original Persona 5 puts players in the shoes of a high school student who was forced to move to Shujin Academy, after being unjustly punished for helping a distressed civilian. Shortly after arriving, he receives the power of wielding his own Persona, which he uses to fight Shadows all while trying to live a normal teenage life.

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will be released for the Nintendo Switch and PS4. As of writing, no release date has been announced by Atlus. In case you missed yesterday’s announcement for Persona 5: The Royal (P5R), you can find our coverage of the trailer here.
