God Eater is a franchise that began way back in the PlayStation Portable (PSP) era. Often compared to Monster Hunter thanks to some key similarities, the franchise offered a more futuristic alternative to Capcom’s monster slaying series.
The entire universe of God Eater is set on a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monsters known as Aragami. Humanity’s only hope lies on God Arcs, weapons infused with Oracle Cells, the same power that lies within the Aragami monsters.
God Eater 3, is the third main entry of the franchise, introducing new God Arcs and gameplay mechanics. The game supports up to four players cooperatively or up to eight with the special assault missions. Other than that nothing much has changed and it continues where the second game left off, story-wise.
The game is now up for pre-order and comes with special Tales of Vesperia exclusive costumes. Pricing is yet to be announced but we’ll keep an eye out for further announcements.
