The free goodies coming to PS Plus in a few days!
March is almost over, meaning its about time we get a new set of free PlayStation Plus games. As always offerings will differ per region, we’ll list them down for you below.
PlayStation US & EU
PlayStation Plus members in the US and EU will be given access to the same set of free games for April — Conan Exiles and The Surge. Conan Exiles is a brutal open-world survival game set in the universe of Conan the Barbarian.
Like any other survival game, players are tasked to use their wits and resourcefulness to gather materials and food from their surroundings. Conan Exiles features a robust crafting and building system as well as a large explorable map with instance dungeons. It can be played solo or with up to 3 other friends in local/online co-op.
The Surge, on the other hand, is an action RPG game from the developers of Lords of the Fallen, a game compared to the Dark Souls series for its difficulty. This time around players are thrown into a sci-fi world. Much like the aforementioned title, The Surge borrows heavily from its fantasy styled cousin in terms of gameplay and controls, meaning its hardcore.
The setting is in a dystopian future where the world is now exhausted of its resources. Players are placed in the shoes of Warren, a new employee of a tech company named CREO, a part of a conglomerate that now controls the world.
For PlayStation Plus members in Asia, you’ll be able to grab a free copy of What Remains of Edith Finch as well as The Surge. What Remains of Edith Finch is a first-person adventure game telling the narrative of the Finch family. Players will take control of Edith as she traverses her family home reliving the memories of the relatives she has lost.
The underlying premise of the game is that the Finch family is cursed and all but one of each of its generation will survive as other members die in unusual ways. The game is heavily story driven and has a linear progression having players explore the Finch house and its surroundings in an orderly succession of scenes.
