No Man’s Sky had a bit of a rocky history, from a lackluster launch to a redeeming free update. Now, to continue its trend of free content updates, Hello Games has announced the first free update for No Man’s Sky in 2019.
Originally, Hello Game’s roadmap was supposed to include 3 major updates. however, they were all consolidated into a single patch — introducing No Man’s Sky Beyond. It has 3 major components, first of which is No Man’s Sky Online.
No Man’s Sky Online will improve on the game’s multiplayer, allowing everyone in the universe to meet each other. While this may give an MMO vibe, Sean Murray has said it will not be one. It will be a free update, and thankfully, will not have micro-transactions
Beyond is set to come Summer 2019, more news of the other 2 update components will be revealed in the coming weeks. Are you excited for this new chapter of No Man’s Sky?
