The cutesy Civ-like game is heading to PC!
Midjiwan’s highly praised free to play Civ-like game, The Battle of Polytopia, is now heading to the big screen. Although that’s not all, as it brings with it a few changes and one huge update — Crossplay.
The Battle of Polytopia is a blocky, cute looking poly civilization strategy game that’s been widely compared to Sid Meier’s Civilization franchise, though in a good way. Much like the Civilization games, Polytopia also features exploration, warfare, building, and technology research.
Players are given a pool of tribes to choose from, each with their own unique attributes and tech trees. The mobile version allows pass & play and online multiplayer as well as singleplayer, all of which we’ll still have in the Steam version.
As we’ve mentioned earlier, crossplay is coming to the game with the release of the PC port. So players from both mobile and Steam will be able to battle each other. The game releases early 2019, with no exact date yet. In any case, you can check out its Steam page here. You can also find the download links to the mobile versions below.
